I just got home from my best friend’s, Tim, place, after watching The Cincinnati Kid with the second best actor of all time: Steve McQueen.
This makes the sixth Steve McQueen Movie which I have seen:
and now recently:
Of these six movies, Tim and I have made an interesting discovery.

Well, the Primary Computer got an upgrade.
I upgraded Kosh from Mandrake 8.0 to Mandrake 9.0.
And, in retrospect, I’m glad I did.

Earlier this afternoon, my Uncle Gary died of Acute Leukemia, around 15:30 EST.
Gary married my Dad’s oldest sister (Dad is the oldest of 5 in my previous generation of the Gilby Family.)
Most of the family is grieving at this point. My Grandmother is on her way to help console and make things as comfortable for Margret (my aunt) and her three kids (my cousins).

I finally got around to populating my About Geeks Page, in the About section (ie. “Who Are You?”)
Some of you will remember this disseration from previous conversations, or previous websites.

I just finished Tom Clancy’s not-so-latest yarn, The Bear and the Dragon. The Third part of what I call the Debt of Honor Trilogy. As the three books are related.
I liked this book, while it was not as much of a punch as DOH, or Executive Orders (XO), it was pure Clancy.
As you can tell from the title, China, Russia and the United States are part of this little piece of fiction.

For those of you who do not know, the church I am a member of bought a nice piece of land in the San Manuel Area. It’s an old cattle ranch.
Essentially, it is a church project to restore this ranch to a livable area for future activities and outreaches.
This stage is pretty fun, lots of ditch digging, paneling, siding, and roof ventelation. And it gets these college guys outside, with the sun on their backs, working and having a good time in the process.
This weekend, my team went up to work on some odds and ends to get things up to spec.
Observe the sabbath day to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you. – Deuteronomy 5:12 (NASB)
Today is a unique day.
It is a Sunday with nothing on my schedule.
It is a truly pure Sabbath day.
Usually my Sabbath is Saturday. My week, like most people, starts on a Monday. Monday through Friday I tap away in the Cubicle Jungle and put in a 40-60 hour week, depending on my workload.
Sunday, my day is filled with Church related activies. So my 24 hour Sabbath is left to Saturday.

Okay, back in September, I made one observation on why Four Computers on one desk is bad.
Today, I made a new discovery.
I found myself using a mouse with my Left Hand.

Well does that not take the cake?
While I’m getting un-sober at a work sponsored after-wrok function, the guys in Facilities switched everyone’s chairs out.
So I come in and find that the chair I have been using in this Cubicle Jungle for the past three years was discarded.
And worse yet, I cannot stand this new chair.

Unless you have been living in a cave, or you just don’t like movies, you have probably seen Ocean’s Eleven. If you have not, I highly recommend it, and it is suitable for all audiences who relate with my brand of humor.
Anyways, I REALLY like the music from this movie, and was looking for a CD with it.
While John Steele has been in town, the band had an exciting time as well. We were visited by Mark and Anna Smith from Auckland New Zealand. (Mark is a guitar player, and lead singer, and Anna is a keyboard player and backup vocalist.) They sat in with our band the past two weeks, and it was a real treat.

As I mentioned before, I expect all of you to vote next tuesday. If not for your patriotic duty, then do it for those who can’t.
So this is your friendly reminder.
VOTE!
Or else.
Or else I will annoy you.
Possibly my least favorite holiday. There all the obvious socio-theological objections that I have (but frankly, I’m not in the mood to discuss those today), but then there is the Marketing.
And as you know I hate Marketing.
