Several people have called or e-mailed asking if I was affected by the flooding in Arizona. Here is my report.
Okay, we’ve gotten some rain, more than expected, but in the past two weeks, I don’t think I’ve even gotten my shoes wet.

The “moral authority” of the United Nations wants to be represented in the Southeast Asia relief effort. In the form of the U.S. Sodier/Sailor/Marine/Airman.

In an attempt to boost his own approval rating, Dan Rather suited-up and joined the sailors aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln.
Its Janaury 2005, and that means its time for the December issue of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Searchy Fun!

When Harry Reid, Democratic Senator from Nevada was stepping up to the plate to be the next House Minority Leader, I thought I liked the guy. He wasn’t the obstructionist-jerk that Daschle was, and seemed to be more moderate than most of the Left side of the Senate Floor.
So I watched him on Meet the Depressed a few weeks back; and he tarnished himself, in my eyes.

Cox and Forum, has some interesting reading today in the wake of the Southeast Asia Tsunami.

The world is in awe, as the investigation of the CBS memogate scandal is about to be announced. We here at Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com are keeping track of this anticipated report.
Notice that the news of this item is going to be released on Friday night, at the end of the news-cycle, when few people are watching the news.
(Like the blogosphere is going to let this go away quietly…)
Take the first sentence of each month, and what do you get?
…I don’t know either.
Best of the Web Today cited a very provocative article on the events at CBS, and their political leanings. I posted the entire article by Howard Fineman of MSNBC here:

Hey CBS, I’m Jeremy Gilby, of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com; I have a website. I thought I’d give you some advice, since you didn’t ask.
I figure, you got nothing to lose; and hey, if I’m right, you can look pretty golden in a few years, and MAYBE even turn the tide for the “Mainstream Media” types.
Go ahead
Read on.
What have you got to lose?

Not really a clash of the titans. Its a gifted speech writer’s opinion vs. the president of the AOL News Network.
One of these people says that Blogging is Old School. The other says Blogging has no school at all.
Guess which one is which…

Its been a few weeks since my last Football post, but I really enjoyed watching this game…
Rewind to last year, the sports talking heads were bantering about how the NFC Championship game would not feature the Philadelphia Eagles (as it did the 3 previous years)
Rewind to the Last game against the Most-hated-team-in-football, the Dallas Cowboys, and the injury to Terrell Owens. How the Eagles were a one-man team, and they now had no hopes of seeing the playoffs.
Rewind to earlier this week, as the Minnesota Vikings come into Lincoln Financial Field, as the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs, and the same talking heads are still predicting a Minnesota win.
Rewind to 15 minutes ago:
Philadelphia: 27
Minnesota: 14
And the Eagles are going to, again, host the NFC Championship game.
Again.
4 in a row, 3 in a row where they host.
(BTW: This is an NFL record.)

I don’t talk too much about my website in my everyday life. Its an online thing, and my everyday life is not an online thing. I don’t TRY to keep the two avenues seperate, but I really don’t see a need to visit frequent intersections between the two. At the same time, I don’t attempt to hide my online life from my everyday life. Most of the time, my friends don’t find my online publication very entertaining. (There are exceptions, of course.) But think about it, who needs a virtual version of Jeremy R. Gilby when the real thing is RIGHT THERE!
So imagine my surprise when one of my friends used some of my JG-dot-com Vernacular…

What is up with Barbara Boxer? Its like everyday is Boxer Day.
You might remember, the Congressional Debable, where Boxer led a jihad to contest the results of Ohio (to meerly make a statement in opposition to GWB, but in reality made a statement that she is just a whiney obstructionist.)
Now she has her sites set on Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

Are you like me, are you concerned about the stratigic military bases in Southeast Asia in the radius of the Tsunami?
One of our most strategic airbases in the world is a small little dot of an island called Diego Garcia. We like have B-2s, B-52s and B-1Bs there. It is at the southernmost tip of India, and was directly in the wake of the Tsunami.
Well, I was trolling through Global-Security-dot-org and I found some good news.
I guess we could also give an update on “Where are the Bombers?”

Something of not-so-recent days popped into my head, and I wanted to document it, just for my own sanity.
When I first started this latest job position (Or the original varriant thereof) I found my decisions being subverted by outside forces. Pretty much, people were quick to go over my head.

Its another Blog Birthday. Amazingly enough, Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com has been around for 3 years.
Three years ago, today, I took a tired useless domain name and posted my First Entries.
In the first year, I posted 120 articles.
In the second year, I posted 250 articles.
Guess What… this year, I posted 478. That is more than one per day!
(Though, I think I skipped a number, or two, so these reports still remian unofficial)

I saw this article on h-t-t-p-colon forward-slash forward-slash slash-dot-dot-org, from the Wisconsin Technology Network:
This caught my attention because I used to play a lot of those “situational” games (Civilization, Railroad Tycoon, Pirates!, etc.)
This article talks about leadership training, but I’m arguing this from a different angle.
