Worst in the NFC East?

Too tired to write a commentary. (I was working all day and I need to get to bed for an early morning tomorrow)

But the Eagles just lost again. To the Washington Redskins.

This could mean that the Eagles are now the worst of the NFC East.

(All good things must come to an end)

Hey, The-Evil-Doctor-Merlin-Channing-Lowe-Jr., I just realized that I am in a serious kerfuffle.

Its coming up on winter, and I have no fireplace to enjoy a good Log-Base-10.

(and I think we have a pile of them somewhere in the house.)

Open Thread: So what’s going to happen to TO?

Filed under: FootballJeremy @ 8:00:32 AM
From the "The-Philadelphia-Experiment" Department

Now the rumors are flying about the T.O. Kerfuffle in Philadelphia.

Its clear that TO is trying to get back into an Eagles Uniform, but it is equally clear that the Eagles Organization is not going to take the wide-receiver back.

So, what are TO’s opitions at this point?

After my obligatory Monday Night Cheesesteak, I’m settling back to try to enjoy my two favorite teams on Prime Time Football goodness.

However, for a guy who is going to have 0 Catches, 0 Yards, and 0 TDs, Terrell Owens is getting a LOT of screen time.

I’ve talked about Despair before and I have the need to do so again.

A time to win, and a time to rebuild

Filed under: FootballJeremy @ 2:24:35 PM
From the "But-in-the-meantime, My-Jerseys-are-gathering-dust" Department

Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles were a winning team. This season, after serious key injuries (Lets see, a quarterback, a kicker, a tight end, and whatever else) the Philadelphia Eagles, while they are a good team, cannot perform up to the caliber of the rest of the NFC.

Today marks the first time in a long time, that the Eagles have fallen to EVERYONE in the NFC East. A playoff team, they are not.

But lets look at the good news:

My other car is being driven by my Honor Roll Student

From the "I'd-like-to-remind-you-officers that it-is-illegal to-make-a-right-hand-turn-from-the-left-hand-lane" Department

I often complain about Tucson Traffic; I can’t think that I’ve experienced such traffic anywhere.

  • Slower Drivers, on average
  • Lasy right hand turns
  • Lasier left hand turns
  • Cutting off turns
  • No accelleration on a green light
  • No hustle on left-turn arrows

Now while that bothers me, its nothing compared to a blatent traffic foul.

EAGLES WIN!

Filed under: FootballJeremy @ 5:51:27 PM
From the "Can-one-game-be-called-a-streak?" Department

Something about Green Bay coming to Philadelphia. (They havn’t won in the last three trips.)

But in the battle of the last place teams in the NFC East and the NFC North, the Eagles prevail.

(And with the Dallas and Washington Losses, (The New [Jersey] Giants are now in OT vs. the SeaChickens) the Eagles make some gains in the NFC East! – not that it will help much, this season.)

If there was one thing that would prevent me from continuing this blog, is for some arch-nemesis to start a slander blog against me.

I was offended easily enough when I saw that My domain name was being spoofed in E-mail spam.

I’ve seen several popular bloggers get slandered by “defamation blogs“.

Regime Change in Canada?

Filed under: PontificationsJeremy @ 6:35:13 AM
From the "We're-from-the-House-of-Commons, and-we're-here-to-help" Department

What did I miss yesterday? Canada desolved its legislature?

Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin dissolved the House of Commons Tuesday and elections were set following Parliament’s vote of no confidence in the government.

Martin went to the official residence of Governor-General Michaelle Jean, representative of head of state Queen Elizabeth, and announced that she had granted his request to dissolve Parliament and that the election would be on Jan. 23.

The election will be held for all 308 seats in the lower House of Commons. The seats in the upper Senate are appointed.

On Monday, the Conservative Party teamed up with the New Democratic and Bloc Quebecois parties to bring down the government, claiming Martin’s ruling Liberal Party had lost its moral authority. Recent polls have given the Liberals a slight lead over the Conservatives, with the New Democrats in third place.
