Attack of the Pygmy Owls!

While it might be an inside joke in the Local Tucson area (and only a joke for those who scoff at this kind of thing); but I unfortunately spotted a Pygmy Owl multiple times at my cubicle jungle.

I even tried to snap a picture of the little guy:

Hey, little-guy. Don’t you know you are endangered?

Searchy Fun :: November 2005

Filed under: Searchy FunJeremy @ 9:47:51 AM

If there is one thing that will not die (and instead prolong much suffering in Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com readers) is the monthly event we like to call the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Searchy Fun!

For those of you who came in late, these are the top 20 search stings used to find Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com from the various Search Engines around the World Wide Web.

From some of these results, it looks like November was a unique month for 3rd Party players to come to the arena of Searchy Fun (see second definition.)

Let’s get to checking!

Iraq: In or Out? CHOOSE NOW!

From the "I-don't-see-that-on-my-list-of-deliverables-for-this-milestone!" Department

I’m getting tired about hearing about the supposed quagmire in Iraq.
I’m not tired about Iraq, I’m tired about the politics from boths sides about what is going right/wrong in Iraq.

After this whole Murtha thing, the Democrats will not shut up about “we need to get out of Iraq today” (even though they all voted against leaving Iraq when that very subject was brought up in the House.)

Then the White House comes out with the President’s Plan.
The Democrats come out with thier supposed plan (as of yet, I’ve not seen it published.)

After cutting through the politics, I’ve discovered something astounding.
Both sides want the same thing, but are using completely different milestones.

If you don’t know already, I’ve not been feeling so great, thanks to events that took place on Friday.
Its a struggle just to do daily stuff.

So no words for awhile.

I’ll be back. Just give me a few weeks.

We’ll call it a Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Christmas break!

Formal Announcement

I just wanted to let the NSA and the Justice Department know, that I give explicit permission for your organizations to wire-tap my phone, and read my E-mail, and peruse this website.

If it means that there could be one less terrorist threat, I’m more than happy to make the sacrifice to my supposed right of privacy.

Thank you

2005 People of the Year

Filed under: PontificationsJeremy @ 12:45:51 PM
From the "This-Years-Model" Department

A lot of news organizations, have been pontificating about the 2005 Man/Person/People of the year of 2005.

Time Magazine thinks that Bill Gates, and Bono deserve the title. Time seems to be the benchmark in this catagorization.

The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com thought it would be a good time to announce the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com People of the Year:

Much to my chagrin, the biggest external draw to Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com has been through the search for “Real Men of Genius”.

For those of you who came in late, once upon a time, I used to like these things. And such, I admired them from afar, way back in October 2003. This would ultimately be my internet-downfall.

I must have been one of the few people talking about this subject, because almost immediately I was getting search hits for Bud Light Real Men of Genius, and it only got worse.

Preparations and Anticipations

The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com are eagerly preparing for the latest Tour-de-Jeremy. We are taking the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Vicinity on a Road Trip (via the air) to the great state of Pennsylvania for Christmas.

It is an exciting time, as the last time I ventured East of the Tanque Verde Ranch (The eastern-most-edge of the really-greater-Tucson area) was when I went to be at Rachael’s christening in May 2004. (It was warmer then.)

But I’m looking forward to many things…
