Castro Proclamed himself in Stable Condition, the other day, on Cuban National TV. Thus thwarting speculation on the Castro Death Watch of 2006. At least for now.

He now joins other World Leaders in Stable Condition as Yassir Arafat has been in stable condition since he was pronounced dead in a Paris Hospital.

I want my MTV! :: 25 years

From the "Video-Killed-the-Radio-Star" Department

Since MTV isn’t even mentioning they are 25 Years Old, this week, everyone else has.

And it seems that Sirius Satelite Radio has cornered the market on collecting the original MTV VJs on their Big 80′s Channel.
With tour-de-force 80′s names like: Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Martha Quinn, and Alan Hunter, in their Weekday Lineup; they are celebrating for MTV, with a pre-recorded, repeated, retrospective of their VJ days. (Just like MTV!)

The Right-Wing Talk Radio Talking-Heads have been ranting about this Poll which suggests that a third of United Statesian believe the Federal Government was not only Responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, but they also coordinated those attack.

Wait wait wait… I know. Its crazy, but don’t blame me, its not my poll.

The Cubicle Jungle :: Seven Years

From the "The-Seven-Year (Rhymes-with-"itch")" Department

Today marks my seventh Anniversary with my Not-So-Small-Software-Organization.

Seven years of Cubicle Guerrilla Warfare in the cubicle jungle.

Seven Years of Office Jihads, Bulldogs, Ghost Hunts, EchoFlares, buzzwords and things like “Do the Needful“.

Seven Years of survival-of-the-fittest competitions with Greek Ninja Masters, and of course, Bottom-Dwelling blood-sucking marketing Leeches.

Seven Years of countless X1 and X2 deliverables, and negotiations with domestic partners and global partners.

It is times like this when The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com take the opportunity, to pontificate, and attempt to rationalize their own employment half-life.

Shockinac at Mackinac

Filed under: PontificationsJeremy @ 10:31:49 AM
From the "Maybe-they-really-liked-the-movie "Somwhere-in-Time"?" Department

It seems some arab men had cornered the market and were on their way to vacation at Mackinac Island, between the penninsulae; and its been all over the news.

Perhaps this was another thwarted terrorist shockinac plot, but it might also be a group of dumb telephone resellers.

Details are sketchy.

For the Fans

From the "Maybe-not-today, Maybe-not-tomorrow, but-MAYBE-Tomorrow!" Department

Sorry guys, I’ve been pretty scatter brained as of late (no real reason, I blame the weather mostly) lack of sunlight does this to me I think, and its been pretty overcast/rainy the past month.

That, and I have nothing interesting to talk about, and what might be interesting takes too many words for me to sit down and actually type out. Such is the frustration I have with blogging.

So here is an executive summary (For those who might care):

I just learned this yesterday at dinner, but I’ve finally been convinced. That footage of the moon landing of Apollo 11 was not the real footage. We’ve been believing a lie!

No, I’m not one of those “Moon Conspiracy Freaks”, now. But the footage we’re all familiar with is NOT the original footage, its footage of a television monitor.

Dark Matter

Yes, that subversive, creepy substance that has Astronomers shouting “boogeyman!” all over the world.

You Can’t Break Even

Filed under: ScienceJeremy @ 1:08:45 AM
From the "You-Can't-Even-Leave-The-Game" Department

There are three laws of Thermodynamics.

    0) Energy only flows downhill
    1) All Energy is Conserved
    2) Energy dissipates except at Absolute Zero
    3) You can’t get to Absolute Zero

These have been simplified to the following:

  1. You Can’t Win
  2. You Can’t Break Even
  3. You Cannot Leave the Game

As Homer Simpson one immortalized: Lisa, In this house we obey the laws of THERMODYNAMICS!, we live in a world where energy is neither created or destroied. It has to come from somewhere.

Well, This company suggests differently. They are using magnetic fields to GENERATE energy out of, well, nothing.
