Lets hope this is a good one.

A Delightful Alternative to 404 – Not Found :: Serving you since 1996
Its the new year, and this is the last Searchy Fun for 2006.
For those of you who came in late, these are the top 20 search hits used to find Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com using the various Search Engines of the World Wide Web, for the month of December.
One note, the last week of December seems to have fallen out of existence. So these results are truncated.
Lets get to checking!

Though, Illiad said it first
Yeah, I’m ready for 2008.
2007 just doesn’t seem to have enough new features to interest me, in fact, the first week of it just reminds me of 2006.

This is obviously a usage of the word, “Homeland Security” that I’m not familiar with:
You may remember, I pride myself on being quite the GrillMaster
I’ve got the gear
I’ve got the reputation.
I’ve got the recommendations
Now, Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com is pleased to present:
GrillMaster at Large

I’m an Eagles fan, but I will miss Tiki Barber. He was a quality Running Back. And his last game was a fine game.
But not as fine as the Philadelphia Eagles!
It was a muddy, messy game. But in the end, the Philadelphia Eagles remained victorious 23-20

After the Plutocracy of the scientific community Downgraded Pluto to a non-planet, I heard on the news, yesterday, that Pluto has been made into a verb
Minor Upgrade, we did it, and it looks just fine here.
If you the reader (or especially the commenter) see a problem, let The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com know.

My new boss, in the cubicle jungle, in an effort to get to know The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com better, was inquiring about my choice of degree from the University of Arizona.
Of course, this is when Marshie pipes in, “Ask him about Dark Matter!”
To which TheBoss asks.
I give my 3 minute rant, which looks a lot like This.
This piqued TheBoss’ interest, and he ran across This Article in the Independent.
The universe gives up its deepest secret
It is the invisible material that makes up most of the cosmos. Now, scientists have created the first image of dark matter

I guess I should Lament about the loss of the Philadelphia Eagles to the New Orleans Saints. Seeing that there will be no more Eagles Games until the fall.
Actually, it was a good game to end a season on. It was tough, down to the end. And the Saints played a fine game.
Deuce McAllister was a stud. Period.

I was challenged, this weekend, to think about the significance of this day. The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
Why is this important?
Why is this significant?
Why is this man so celebrated?

Its been a LONG while since the last Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Where-are-the-Carriers? Post. But with all the news about the Troop Surge, I thought I’d look up what’s going on with the mighty-mighty SuperCarrier Fleet.
Fortunately, details are not as sketchy, as Global-Security-dot-org has kept up in the past few months.
And, there was a recent announcement about the new carrier about to be built, after the George H. W. Bush. See Below!

Here is that Bruce Campbell Old Spice Commercial that we all were raving over the other weekend.
Now, I’m no sucker for advertising, but I’m an Old Spice kind of guy…

One of my most used Christmas Presents this year came from my niece and nephew, Rachael and Daniel.

Like the Doomsday Clock, we at Internet-Free-Jeremy are constantly watching the dangers of the effects of TransGlobal Warming occurring in the 21st Century.
The latest incidents in California have raised our attention:
Yeah, I’ve noticed that Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com has been up and down most of the afternoon.
Which gives me a good excuse to promote my backup blog:
It is a rare treat for the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-Compound, as Dad is coming to Tucson for a weekend visit.
The Editors of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com are quite pleased (and not just the fact they are taking off 1.5 days of work)
It kinds of reminds me of the father and son weekends that Dad and I would frequently go on when I was a kid.
Except less fishing, and more desert.

New Horizons is a space mission to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt. Over the next two months, it will approach the largest planet in our Solar System, Jupiter.
This image was taken on Jan. 8, 2007, with the New Horizons Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI), while the spacecraft was about 81 million kilometers (about 50 million miles) from Jupiter. Jupiter’s volcanic moon Io is to the right; the planet’s Great Red Spot is also visible. The image was one of 11 taken during the Jan. 8 approach sequence, which signaled the opening of the New Horizons Jupiter encounter.
Over the years, I’ve been plagued by an image that irked me the first time I saw it, and continually frustrated each additional time it was presented to me, it was this:

I feel like I’m slowly being surrounded by the iPod people.
Seriously.
Maybe its the announcement of the iPhone, or the craziness around Microsoft Vista, but Apple (and the AppleNuts) are really pouring on the “Macs are better than PCs” tripe.
(and that is what it is, Tripe.)
January 20th, is historically, the anniversary of the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com, delightfully giving you an alternative to Error 404 – Not Found, for 5 years now.
Somehow, in all the excitement of Dad visiting, snow storms, and space probes, I seemed to have missed it.
Well, there is always next year.

I’m usually not a “quiz blog” but I saw the title to this one, and I had to try my skills.

The Pirate King asks the question:
So how do you feel the real heroes of the silver screen acted when compared to the hollywonks today who spray out anti-American drivel as they bite the hand that feeds them?
Can you imagine these stars of yester-year saying they hate our flag, making anti-war speeches, marching in anti-American parades and saying they hate our president?
Chad’s thesis, back in the day, many actors were WWII Veterans, and he lists several.

Just a note, as this article is published, people are camping out in Ciscofornia waiting for computer stores to open their doors to sell them a cheap copy of the newest Microsoft software platform.
After months of preparing for this day, in the cubicle jungle, I’m not eager for “users” (Pronounced “Losers”) to install this.
But at the same time, I’m not eager for the next stage in the dumbing down of computers for the common man.

I’ve been slowly watching the seventh and final season of the West Wing, and one episode involved one of the Presidential Candidates eating a cheesesteak in Philadelphia. It didn’t go very well, and the candidate wore shirt full of cheese whiz.
According to the Vice Presidential Candidate, “That will endear you to Eagles fans in Philly and South Jersey”
It quickly reminded of the “Kerry Incident” with a cheese steak, on his Presidential Run.
First, he ordered with “Swiss” cheese.
Second, he looked quite awkward eating one… (His press people knew this would be the case, and specifically ordered NO CAMERAS when this event took place… but somehow, this image was captured.)
See attached photo:
And, as history now records (as well as Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com) John Kerry did not become President.
So this got me to thinking, what Presidential Candidates did “well” in the Cheesesteak Test?
