I saw this on Little Green Footballs and I had to repost it here:

Cracked-dot-com :: Six New Personality Disorders [taken over by] the Internet

I say, “taken over by” because these are already existing DisOrders that have just manifested themselves anew in Internet Culture.

Like the Apache Margaritas, my local circle of friends have become fans of my mojitos, which are a variation of the Jeffrey Morgenthaler method. The most glowing comment was: “This is Glorious!”

Knowing this, my friends often suggests other “mojitos” to try. Some of them scared me, but I had to at least try.

Saturday, I was able to do so, and I’m pleased to share my results:

Downtime Trends

If you didn’t notice, Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com and its environs were down for a few hours this morning (Pacific TIme) and just recently came back up.

In my previous employment, one of my tasks was to find patterns in support requests or errors and determine a Root Cause. Sometimes this was something technical, it could be weather related, or in many cases it was user behavior.

I think I’ve determined a pattern with my downtime.

I’ve had a hard time coming up with words for my thoughts about the passing of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, but fortunately, thanks to the Nameless County Employee, I’ve found those words in the form of “The Soup”

The-Evil-Doctor-Merlin-Channing-Lowe-Jr. made a reference in a previous post in regards to technical issues with Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com.

What he was referencing is a funny situation we had with the Technical Support of our Internet Service Provider, back in the old place.

With Health Care Reform being bulldoged through the House and Senate. I’m reminded of Paul Greenberg’s column, which appeared scribbled various bathroom walls of the Internet.

One Giant Leap for Mankind

Forty Years ago, on the moment of the time stamp of this article, Neil Armstrong descended the Ladder of the Lunar Module. Two passengers which left Earth on Apollo XI, on July 16, 1969 had finally arrived.

The recently-late Walter Cronkite, was at the anchor desk at this incredible achievement of mankind.

The words, “One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind” are now memorized by students all over the United States and the World. And while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were wearing the flag of the United States, they truly were representatives of the planet Earth, and not one singular nation, which was represented by the Mission Patch of Apollo XI.

I saw this series of questions over at Laura’s site, everypath.org, who got the meme from Vader’s Mom, and felt the subject was in the neighborhood of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com, so I gave it a whirl.

Seriously, if Shmi Skywalker propagated a meme, would YOU ignore it?

The Michael Vick Experience

The NFL has allowed Michael Vick to return to the NFL within the confines of a supplementary suspension. The question now is will a NFL team take the risk and sign him.

When Michael Vick plead guilty to Federal Charges, the Atlanta Falcons had released Vick from his contract after the NFL Suspended him, so he is a free agent.

Jim Johnson (May 26, 1941 – July 28, 2009)

I learned yesterday that Jim Johnson, the outstanding defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles lost his battle to cancer, yesterday. He was 68 years old.

People outside of Philadelphia may not know the name, but inside the City of Brotherly Love, the name Jim Johnson was a household name. When there were rumors of releasing Donovan McNabb, or Andy Reid, fans were saying, “I don’t care, as long as Jim Johnson is still Defensive Coordinator.”

You see, Philadelphia may not have always won games, but it has been perennially the defense that put people in the stands.

Why Little Jeremy is no longer a member of the Republican Party

From the "So-I've-changed-my-mind" Department

I should say up front, this was not a spur of the moment decision. I had been contemplating this all the way back in the 2008 Primaries. But, contrary to two previous articles I have written: How Little Jeremy Became a Republican and THM: Why Jeremy is not a Libertarian, I have left the party of Ronald Reagan, and went to the kooks.

(Aside: Unless Cisco also changed parties, recently, we are Of the Same Political Party Again)
