Keyboards like this have been used in industry for a while. Rather than having an operator keyboard and control panel, the keyboard serves as both. Depending on what the system is doing or expecting, the keyboard and function keys display the appropriate functions. They also come in cheap touch pads to allow for easy repacement when wear and tear set in.

Too bad this keyboard is not in production yet. This is one keyboard on quite a few geek must have lists. I have been waiting for this keyboard to hit the market since slashdot talked about it in July.
