Early April Fools?

You may have noticed that Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com was down for 24 hours. It just recently came up.

I noticed that several other sites hosted by this particular webhost (including the webhost’s main site) was also down. I figured a server needed kicking.

It appears to be back and stable.

Also, it appears that either I received no E-mail yesterday, or it was lost in the ether.

In April Fool’s News, Google is up to its usually hi jinx. with the introduction of CADIE (A self-aware Cognitive Autoheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity) [I have a feeling this was also developed by Skynet Research.

  1. So far the explanation is that the data-center had a series of power outages, which exceeded the UPSes, and the back-up generators couldn’t carry the load.

  3. CADIE reminds me of the movie “War Games”. Shall we play a game?
