H1N1 4U?
Well, the Swine Flu managed to swing through the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Vicinity, and several of my circle of friends have been diagnosed with it.
They all survived. And are currently healthy.
I heard a report, second hand, from someone who will remain nameless, that anyone in Southern Arizona who suffered from the Flu, actually suffered from the Swine Flu.
I have to defer to The-Evil-Doctor-Merlin-Channing-Lowe-Jr..
But I can report, with good authority, that Arizona is still waiting for its supply of the H1N1 vaccine.
Personally, I would not mind avoiding the Flu Season.
I’ve read that since there was a Swine Flu outbreak in 1976, those of us exposed to it have some immunity to it. That means that the Born After Star Wars crowd is DOOMED!
But I also know that Tamiflu is also in short supply in Arizona as well.
Just some fun facts that I’ve learned, working for a Local-Regional-Third-Party-Call-Center, on contract with a Not-So-Small-Pharmaceutical-Dispensation-Company.
So has anyone in the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com community diagnosed with the Swine Flu?

I was. And it was unfun. It had been at least 20 years since I’d have a temp of 104.

None as yet in the MM.net vicinity, though the son of one co-worker was diagnosed. Mgmt. here is very adamant about staying home if you are diagnosed.

True that at this point, probably 99%, if not 100% of the flu cases have been H1N1 here in Pima County. We’ve not yet really seen any seasonal flu. To have any significant immunity from the 1976 outbreak, one would need to have actually gotten the H1N1 flu then. It does, however, appear that these people seem to have some retained immunity.
Unfortunately, the vaccine supply is quite limited at the moment so most people can’t get the vaccine even if they want it.

So there you have it, you heard from The-Evil-Doctor-Merlin-Channing-Lowe-Jr., that we’re all doomed. The Swine Flu will kill us all.
The Nameless County Employee hasn’t figured out that she contracted a fatal disease.
Wait, it isn’t fatal?

Apparently not. (Phew). That being said, they still made us get the H1N1 vaccine at work.

the H1N1 or Swine Flu virus did put our country in disarray for quite sometime, it is good to know that at least it did not cause so many deaths.
