The Steel Curtain
Wouldn’t you know it, I get home later than usual one Sunday afternoon, and I come home to see the Eagles suffered their first loss, to the Pittsburg Steelers, 27-3.
I’m humbled.
I have no comments, I just will hide my head in Shame.
The good news is, the loss is behind them.
The bad news is, I get to face a cubicle jungle, eager to poke fun at the guy rooting for the team with the best record in the NFL (well, not any more, the Eagles only have the best record in the NFC now) But I guess I got it coming to me.
I would not be so bad, if the Eagles didn’t get their aft-thrusters handed to them.
The other cool thing, my Supervisor is a Huge Steelers fan, so he bet me lunch that the Steelers would win. So I gotta fork that over tomorrow as well.

The Eagles couldn’t be lucky 3 out of 3.
On the positive side, for the last 3 years, the Eagles have been worse off than this and still won the division. Let’s hope this was a wake up call.
One of Joe’s favorite teams (who played the Eagles) won but his Giants currently trail by 6 in the 3rd.

Andy Rooney just had a great line.
I know a lot of people in the press. You may think they’re all liberal but they are pretty evenly split.
One half love Kerry and the other half hate Bush.

Well, its nice the New [Jersey] Giants lost as well, that drops the “Magic Number” to 6
6 more Eagle wins and they win the NFC East
7 more Eagle wins and they secure Home Field Advantage in the Playoffs.

Personally, I’d like to see the Steelers face off against the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Would that be the Steel Talon Bowl?

The I-76 Bowl?
The East/West Bowl?
The Blue Mountain Bowl?
The PA Bowl?

Has the cubicle jungle returned to “normal” since the loss of one EH?
